Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Omnext CSR statement

Omnext’s approach to CSR is built on the desire to create a balance between economic return (Profit), the ecological quality of the environment (Planet) and the welfare of people both within and outside of Omnext (People). CSR is therefore an integral part of our business and innovation also plays an important role.
Products & Services
Omnext develops innovative products and services with the aim of increasing efficiency and minimizing waste in software development and maintenance. At the heart of these products and services are, on the one hand, the issues our clients face clients and, on the other hand, our drive to innovate to make ICT work in a more targeted and sustainable way. Our innovative activities always aim to provide a solution to common challenges from the field. For us innovation begins with the research questions of ‘how can we acquire and retain knowledge?’ and ‘how can things be done better, cheaper and more conveniently?’ On average, Omnext devotes 15 to 20 percent of its resources to the research and development of new products and services. Alongside the objectives we set ourselves, we also have some requirements regarding the integrity of our clients. In extreme cases, this could mean that we refuse to work for a certain organization.
Employees
When it comes to employee development, our basic tenet is to ensure that our employees have the qualifications that will make them attractive for the labor market. Omnext employees have the reputation being qualified to a level that is above the average for the labor market, and this is what drives our approach to employee development. For developing our employees’ skills, we at Omnext use our Guild Model, in which the apprentice, journeyman and master work together to determine their own path of development. With its innovative company philosophy, Omnext provides its employees with an environment in which they learn to think innovatively.
Purchasing
With regard to purchasing (office supplies, computers, furniture, company cars etc.), we select products that conform to our quality requirements and at the same time have the lowest impact on the environment in their segment. We also consider it important that we do business with sustainable, responsible businesses. We accept that in some cases these may be more expensive.
Paper & Energy
We separate paper from other garbage. As well as purchasing environmentally friendly paper and printing on both sides of the sheet, we try to do as much as possible digitally. We are aware of our energy consumption and have already taken technical measures to limit it. Our employees also know how they can use energy more economically, and working from home is one of the options.

Integrity & ethics
The nature of our services means that Omnext enters into a relationship of confidence with its clients. Integrity and ethics are therefore important gauges of our company, and we frequently discuss this topic with our employees. A Certificate of Good Conduct is consequently a permanent fixture of our HRM policy.

Community
The Omnext community is composed of our employees, clients and business partners. In addition, there is also the setting in which Omnext’s services are provided. We provide our services from Veenendaal, generally via the internet, and collaborate with software development organizations from all over the world. This could mean countries such as India, China, and the former Eastern bloc countries but also, for example, Greece.

Omnext is an active participant in the branch association and other collaborative associations that support the sector, such as Platform Outsourcing Nederland. As regards education, we work together with secondary schools, colleges and universities offering internships and final year placements, during which we provide active guidance.

Omnext makes an annual financial contribution to worthwhile social causes. This contribution is often to causes suggested by someone with whom we are in regular contact (staff, clients etc.) Recent examples of this are the support of a children’s home in India and an annual Christmas campaign for the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
