Context
The customer is a fast-growing player in the field of back-office transaction services. The customer operates in diverse markets for companies who want to outsource their customer administration. This involves taking on complete processes from ‘transaction management’ to ‘billing’ and subsequently accommodating them in its own systems.

Challenge
The dynamic of newly acquired business forced the customer to adjust its own systems in a similar agile way. This meant that the customer’s existing back office systems and newly developed software systems began to expand and become increasingly complex. Meanwhile, it was becoming more difficult to stay in control because of the speed of the changes and the need to support the business.

Solution
Omnext’s Source2VALUE enabled the customer to regain control of its own software. It provided an insight into the maintainability, technical quality, and structure of the current software systems. In addition, the technical documentation was brought back in line with the current software code, thus stabilizing administration costs. Moreover, the results led to a number of refactoring activities, which greatly improved the maintainability and continuity of the customer’s own software systems.

The customer, in the meantime, carries out the above exercise on its software systems a few times a year.
